Goth led Crystal out of the last strand of trees and to the shore of the Black River. The river had been a long way away and it had taken them until sunset to reach it. Now Dawn's rose finger spread across the land, painting everything with a red tinge. Goth looked around and snorted in satisfaction. Here we are My Lady, the Black River
The massive Grizzly stepped down to the water's edge and drank for a while before straightening. Shadows were beginning to creep out from amist the trees and they had better find a place to stay for the night soon.

Crystal followed Goth through all the trees of the Vahli Forest, I wonder when we will get there. Crystal thought, she just shook her head and ruffeled her fur, soon they were at the Black Creek, Crystal dipped her nose into the creek and started to drink, she then put all fours in the water, seeing how strong the current was, Enough to almost knock me over, nice current. Crystal thought with a sastisfied look. She pawed around the bottom of the creek, catching small fish and letting them go, Never let go...... of life. Crystal murmered under her breath watching the little fish swim away. She smiled and turned back to Goth, who had just finished drinking and was looking into the shadows, I bet I know what you're thinking...... ' Oh, We should find some place to sleep for the night '......... Well I think it's a good idea, thing is, Crystal looked around, Where would we go? Crystal said under her breath so only Goth can hear her.

Cast his gaze around, taking in every dip in the landscape that could provide a sleeping spot. Well it's not very cold out. he said still looking around. At last he spotted a place. About five yards away a small hollow had been formed in the ground from the spring floods. It would make a great place to sleep in winter while the melt water was still small in amount. Follow me My Lady Goth lumbered towards the hollow. He reached it quickly and curled up tightly, making sure to leave room for Crystal. It would not do to offend her now. His rough fur was warm and Goth soon sank into sleep.

Crystal followed Goth to a small area, soon as Goth fell asleep, which wasn't very long, Crystal decided to look around, not getting to far away. Crystal was only 2 yards away from Goth when she spotted something in the shadows, she let her self-defense side take over and she backed away. She was next to the ledge of the hollow and accidently stumbled backwards, she got up and shook her fur, making it warmer. She looked back at Goth and hoped she hadn't made to much noise. Crystal turned and took one last look into the shadows, red eyes stared back, she growled something under her breath and the red eyes went scampering, Crystal smiled an evil smile and lied down next to Goth, she then, too, fell into a deep sleep.

Goth woke early the next moring. he stood up carefully so as not wake crystal. The grizzly stretched and yawned before lumbering down to the stream to drink. He wasn't hungry yet so he sat back and watched the sun rise above the tree line. The whole world lay out there. An enormous territory for anyone who had the strength and ambition to claim it. This went against all the laws set down by nature but Goth ignored that. He had never cared much for gods and goddess'. Goth was ambitious, Goth was ruthless. He knew this and he welcomed it. I'd better get back to the wolf. the bear thought to himself. Turning, he walked back, taking a detour he snagged a squirrel that didn't move fast enough and dropped it in fron of Crystal. Breakfast, my Lady.

Crystals ear twitched once and she opened her eyes, there was a squirrel perhaps about only a few centimeters from her nose. She got up upon her four paws and looked around, making sure there was nothing around. She then looked at the squirrel, No thank you, I'm not very hungry. Crystal turned from the bear and the squirrel, I'm going to take a small walk, alone, I will be back soon. Crystal then started to walk north, away from Goth and the squirrel.

Goth nodded. He lay down again and ate the squirrel in a few bites while watching Crystal walk away. He then decided to keep a lookout over the land. Melted snow dripped from braches that were beginning to sprout buds. The river ran loudlt with melt water coming down off the mountains. soon salmon would be here and Goth would have to convince Crystal to come back to the river from where ever they happened to be. The bear licked his pink lips. He did love fish.

Crystal walked all over the land, watching the snow melt. She soon saw the rim of the city of Aalagia, she smiled and turned, howling. The howl did not reach Goth that much, but she heard people start screaming. Crystal smiled evilly and took off running, racing with the wind, watching the birds return, lap at any small woodland creatures who came near. Crystal soon saw Goth, she slited her eyes and smiled once more, she lept and soared over Goth.

Goth shifted in surprise when Crystal soared over him. He stook up and shook clumps of moss from his pelt. What is it my Lady? he asked. He thought he had heard a distant howl but he could not be sure it had seemed very far away.

Crystal stopped and turned, I kinda freaked everyone out in the city by howling, I saw a few of them, but not much. Anyways, I just like running and seeing how high I can jump. Crystal smiled an evil smile. Anyways, is the water returning yet? I want to eat some fish, some wolves hate it, but I love it. Crystal looked past Goth and saw red eyes again, but this time, they were in a pair, four red eyes were staring at them. Crystals fur was on end and anybody could see that. Crystal glared back at the eyes.
