A Day on the Job

The bank had a large main room. It's cold stone walls and sparse furniture allowed echoes to continue for a long time. The front desk was made of dark wood and stood 4 feet off the ground which was taller than the fairy sitting at it. Maxwell Addison clicked his heals together and gave a bored whistle. tweeeet, click, click. The echoes resounded across the room. Max winced and sat quietly as he waited for customers.

Bailey went into the bank to buy a house. She went up to the front desk and asked if there would be someone who is able to dicuss buying a house. She was nervous about buying a house and was worried that she wouldn't have enough money for food and other items.

Max looked up at the young woman in front of his desk. Why i'd be happy to help you. he said beaming. He took off his spectacles, gave them a quick polish and set them back on his nose. Please take a seat he said. Max got together his parchment and quills. House forms... house forms... he muttered to himself. Ah here they are

Bailely took the seat and crossed her legs. my name is Bailey Rockwell. she said. I would like to buy ahouse in the outer city. I have 2000 dollers to spend. Bailey thought that tyhe banker seemed a little strange but also nice.

Max pulled out the sheet that listed all the houses for sale in the Outer City. Hmmm...$2000. Well we have a plot of untamed land that's only $1000 but then the only houses in your price range are $2000 which would leave you with no money. Maxwell pushed his spectacles back up his nose (they had a habit of sliding down). If you would dtill like to buy a house i would advise you to take out a loan. He said.

ok said Bailey i'll buy a house for $2000. Bailey was excited about buying a new house and didn't want to take out a loan. What houses are avaible for $2000 asked Bailey.

Well we have a couple of nice small houses and a plot of land. What are you looking for in a house exactly? Maxwell checked a sigh as he pushed his annoying spectacles back up his nose. He did like his job but he'd like to get home in time for supper and this talk seemed to be dragging on. Maxwell gave the young woman a tired smile and turned his mind back to work.
